About Dr. Diana K. Lee
Dr. Diana K. Lee is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements.
She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Columbia University, where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in biology and mathematics and was a four-year member of the varsity women's basketball team. Following medical school, Dr. Lee completed a five-year residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University. She then pursued additional sub-specialty training at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she learned techniques in reconstructive surgery of the adult hip and knee, including anterior hip replacement, from some of the foremost leaders in the field.
Dr. Lee is passionate about helping patients with debilitating hip and knee arthritis return to the activities and quality of life that they enjoy most. Whether that means starting with conservative treatment modalities such as physical therapy, injections, and medications, or considering surgery when the aforementioned treatments no longer seem to help, she works with each patient individually to identify their unique goals and to formulate the optimal treatment plan to help them achieve those goals in a safe and effective manner.
As a Bay Area native, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time outdoors soaking in the natural beauty that California has to offer. She also enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, as well as playing and watching sports.
